Frederick Allan Moranis (/məˈrænɪs/; lahir 18 April 1953) adalah seorang komedian dan aktor Kanada, terkenal karena perannya dalam beberapa film layar lebar di tahun 1980-an. Ia muncul dalam serial komedi sketsa Second City Television (SCTV) pada tahun 1980-an. Kemudian ia membintangi beberapa film Hollywood, termasuk Strange Brew (1983), Streets of Fire (1984), Ghostbusters (1984) dan sekuelnya Ghostbusters II (1989), Little Shop of Horrors (1986), Spaceballs (1987), Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989, dan sekuelnya tahun 1992 dan 1997), Parenthood (1989), My Blue Heaven (1990), dan The Flintstones (1994).
Setelah kematian istrinya pada tahun 1991, Moranis mengurangi pekerjaannya di industri hiburan, dan mulai tahun 1997 ia mencurahkan waktunya untuk kedua anaknya.[1] Selama periode ini, ia sesekali tampil, seperti mengisi suara dalam film Disney Brother Bear (2003),[2] album komedi, dan penampilan di konvensi penggemar. Pada tahun 2020, ia menandatangani kontrak untuk kembali memerankan perannya dari Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, dalam sekuelnya, tetapi proyek tersebut ditunda karena pandemi COVID-19.[3] Peran pertamanya di depan kamera pada periode ini, ia akan kembali memerankan karakter Dark Helmet dalam Spaceballs: The New One, dijadwalkan rilis pada tahun 2027.[4][5]
